Kuala Lumpur diserang 'syphilis'
Pada 27 Disember 1972, akhbar Utusan Malaysia melaporkan kerajaan akan melancarkan kempen ‘anti-VD’ secara besar-besaran di seluruh negara tidak lama lagi bagi menyelamatkan berpuluh-puluh ribu orang yang dihinggapi penyakit perempuan setiap tahun.
Penyakit ini meliputi berbagai jenis, tetapi yang paling banyak berlaku di negara ini ialah syphilis dan gonorrhoea yang cukup merbahaya kepada manusia. Dilaporkan bahawa di Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur sahaja sekurang-kurangnya 18,000 orang telah dijangkiti penyakit VD.Dapatkan maklumat lanjut di Pusat Maklumat dan Arkib Media Mulia Sdn Bhd.
