The Catholic Lawyers Society (CLS) Kuala Lumpur celebrated their 31st Red Mass, also known as the Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit, on January 11 at the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist (CSJE). This annual Eucharistic celebration was attended by CLS members, legal professionals, law students, families, friends, and Catholics from near and far, with approximately 102 legal professionals present. Archbishop Julian Leow led the main Holy Mass, alongside the Apostolic Nuncio to Malaysia, Archbishop Wojciech Zaluski, CLS Ecclesiastical Assistant Fr Gregory Chan, Fr William Michael, Cathedral Parish Priest Fr Gerard Theraviam, and a visiting priest. In his homily, Archbishop Julian reminded lawyers of three key points: humility and deepening charity in their work, their responsibility as pilgrims in the world, and the need to prioritize their Catholic identity over their legal profession. He challenged them to serve God through their legal work and emphasized the importance of keeping Christ in their hearts in all aspects of life.
