KTMB Adds Extra ETS Trains for School Holidays and Chinese New Year

KTMB is increasing ETS train services for the upcoming school holidays and Chinese New Year period to accommodate the expected surge in travel demand. The extra trains will operate on the KL Sentral - Padang Besar - KL Sentral route for 19 days, starting from January 17th and running until February 16th.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad ( KTMB ) announced additional ETS trains for the upcoming school holidays and Chinese New Year celebrations. According to an announcement on their social media on Thursday, 2 January, KTMB will add two extra ETS train services, which will operate exclusively on the KL Sentral - Padang Besar - KL Sentral route.

To meet the anticipated surge in travel demand, these extra trains will operate for 19 days, starting from 17 January and continuing through the Chinese New Year period until 16 February. The specific dates of operation are: Ticket prices start from RM126 for a one-way fare Train number EP9283 will depart from Padang Besar at 11.05am and is scheduled to arrive at KL Sentral at 4.30pm. Meanwhile, train number EP9286 will depart KL Sentral at 5pm and is scheduled to arrive at Padang Besar at 10.20pm. Tickets are now available for booking through the KTMB website, mobile app, or kiosk machine
