Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup Salahuddin Ayub sedia mempertimbangkan cadangan untuk menambah bekalan gula di negeri tertentu pada musim perayaan. – Gambar fail The Malaysian Insight, 7 Jun, 2023.

Beliau berkata cadangan itu dilihat bersesuaian memandangkan ada negeri yang menghadapi kekurangan bahan itu sesama musim perayaan sebelum ini, ekoran ramai warga kota pulang ke kampung halaman masing-masing. Beliau berharap syarikat CSR dan MSM Malaysia Holdings dapat membantu dalam melaksanakan cadangan tersebut.

“Jadi apabila orang ramai balik semasa Raya Haji nanti, peratusan kekurangan bekalan gula itu kita akan sedia tampung dan pemborong boleh simpan dan beli bekalan lebih sikit bagi tampung kekurangan itu,” katanya.
