Kota Tinggi traders affected by floods selling clothes for RM5

Trader Noor Shafina Naim, 21, said waist level floodwaters had submerged hundreds of her clothing items such as Baju Kurung and Baju Melayu, with losses estimated at RM300,000.According to Shafina, this was one of the worst floods to affect her father’s shop which had been operating for the past 20 years.
Meanwhile, Noriah Abd Rahman, 40, said many clothing items, including those for Hari Raya, were damaged by floods. “The pavement of the shop was also damaged due to the flood, so I hope the authorities can help, if not, I may have to use my own capital,” said Noriah, who has been trading in the area since 2007.
