Pengerusi Kopeks Jaibit Jaudin berkata kertas kerja untuk perniagaan hotel telah bermula dan perkara itu akan dibawa ke mesyuarat tahunan Kopeks pada Jun untuk kelulusan.

Usaha sedang dijalankan untuk mengembangkan segmen perniagaan Kopeks dengan membuka dan mengendalikan hotel bajet di sekitar bandar raya dan Putatan, selain perniagaan insurans. “Mungkin mulai tahun depan Kopeks akan memulakan perniagaan baharu di Kampung Air di mana Kopeks mempunyai bangunan empat tingkat yang akan diubah suai untuk dijadikan hotel bajet 21 bilik. “Kami menjangkakan ini akan menjana pendapatan untuk Kopeks.

“Kopeks juga sedang melihat untuk menyediakan kemudahan pinjaman mudah untuk membeli insurans kereta dan memperbaharui cukai jalan,” katanya. Beliau berterima kasih kepada Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia dan Bank Rakyat yang telah membantu dari segi dana untuk Kopeks bangkit semula selepas Covid-19. Beliau juga bersyukur kerana walaupun berdepan cabaran sepanjang wabak itu, Kopeks dapat mengekalkan prestasinya.
