Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Friday, Oyewale said the deployment aimed to checkmate vote buying, selling, and other forms of electoral fraud. Oyewale emphasized that the monitoring team sent to the three states would also address any attempts to manipulate the electoral processes, which would be in violation of the Electoral Act.
