“For adults, it’s important for us to get out of the way,” he said. “Sometimes the most important thing to do is to just observe. You just watch and then you can guide.”Alongside Mauser, Bryant helped build the club squad over the last several years, assembling a roster that included his daughter ; the children of a former NBA player , a local college baseball coach , a former Costa Mesa mayor ; and other promising middle-school players from around Orange County.
