NBA legend Kobe Bryant died yesterday when a helicopter crashed and burst into flames in foggy conditions in suburban Los Angeles, leaving nine people dead and plunging the sports world into mourning. Los Angeles county sheriff Alex Villanueva said yesterday eight passengers and the pilot of the aircraft died in the accident.
