Kmart has been accused of charging more for Size 10 to 18 clothing in a new viral video - however it appears not all is as it seems. Sharing on social media, one shopper - who uses the handle @MontanaVincent - posted footage that showed how pairs of the retail giant’s Pocket Shorts in sizes 6 and 8 were priced at $15. Price tags on the same shorts in sizes 10 to 18, meanwhile, were priced at $17.
Shopper claims Kmart is charging more for Size 10-18 clothes “Since when did Kmart change pricing on size 10 and above?” she asked. The shopper’s video has since gone viral with more than 400,000 views, sparking widespread debate among social media users. However 7NEWS.com.au can confirm that Kmart is not charging more for different sized clothing. It’s understood that a last-minute price drop on the popular shorts meant that some sizes were priced incorrectly.
