Klay Thompson Still Has 'Strong Internal Support' In Warriors' Front Office - RealGM Wiretap
Klay Thompson has an expiring $43 million contract next season and the slip in his play since returning from a torn ACL and Achilles would make him seem like a logical candidate for the Golden State Warriors to trade if they chose to either reduce payroll or reshape their roster in a dramatic way.
Thompson finished the season averaging 21.9 points on 41.2 percent shooting on three-pointers. Thompson remains a shooter with tons of gravity, but he struggles to create his own offense and is no longer one of the league's better switchable defenders on the wing.
