Klang is set to launch a new Hop On Hop Off (HoHo) bus service aimed at making it easier for tourists to explore the city's attractions.
The city of Klang is set to introduce a Hop On Hop Off (HoHo) bus service as a convenience for tourists in the area to visit its attractions. This service is targeted at tourists, especially those who take cruise ships and transit at Port Klang for a period of up to six hours or more. According to the City Mayor, Datuk Abdul Hamid Hussain, the service is operated by a company called LNH Travel & Tours and is expected to start operations as early as January.
The main service of the HoHo bus is to bring tourists who take cruise ships and transit at Port Klang for up to six hours. During that long period, they can use the HoHo bus service to visit tourism products and go shopping at Little India on Jalan Tengku Kelana and GM Klang. He said at the Launch of the Tourism and Cultural Calendar of Klang Municipal Council (MBDK) and the Launch of the HoHo Bus and appreciation to the media at Dewan Hamzah recently. He added that foreign tourists transiting at Port Klang or domestic tourists can not only shop in Klang but can also visit historical buildings, have a meal, go on a trip to Pulau Ketam and visit Tanjung Harapan. Tourists can experience the traditional Gasing Pangkah Traditional Game in Bukit Kapar and take pictures at the Laman Seni Safari Klang. For the record, the Klang District was visited by 459,979 tourists from January to September last year. MBDK is the fourth local government area with the highest number of tourists in the state.
