Kuala Lumpur City Football Club suffered a crucial 2-3 home loss against Cong An Ha Noi FC in the ASEAN Club Championship, jeopardizing their chances of reaching the semi-finals.

Kuala Lumpur City Football Club suffered a disappointing 2-3 defeat at home against Cong An Ha Noi FC at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium. This loss significantly hampered the team's chances of advancing to the semi-finals of the ASEAN Club Championship. Despite their need for a win, KL City was initially stunned by an early goal from Cong An Ha Noi 's Vietnamese national player, Nguyen Quang Hai , in the 10th minute.

The setback spurred KL City's players forward, and their efforts paid off in the 24th minute when Adrijan Rudovic headed in a corner kick from Paulo Josue. Eight minutes later, Josue himself put KL City in the lead with a header from a Jovan Motika pass, scoring past Cong An Ha Noi's goalkeeper, Nguyen Filip, for a 2-1 lead. This scoreline remained until the end of the first half. The second half saw Bui Hoang Viet Anh equalize for Cong An Ha Noi with a header from a Quang Hai corner kick in the 67th minute. This put KL City under pressure, and their situation worsened when defender Kamal Azizi Mohamad Zabri received a red card in the 76th minute for kicking Nguyen Dinh Bac. With just two minutes left on the clock, KL City's Josue also received a red card for a foul on an opponent. Cong An Ha Noi capitalized on the numerical advantage, scoring the winning goal through Le Van Do in stoppage time. This result saw Cong An Ha Noi remain at the top of Group B with 12 points, securing their place in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, KL City sits in fourth place with six points and must defeat second-placed Buriram United in their final game on February 6th to have any hope of advancing to the next stage
