The Communications and Multimedia Ministry has allocated RM1.32mil as an Incentive Feature Film initiative to local film producers affected by the Movement Control Order period to curb the Covid-19 pandemic. Its minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said the allocation was in response to a proposal from the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia to help film producers and encourage them to continue producing local films.

“Following discussions with KKMM senior officials, I have approved this fund to several eligible companies. Finas will contact these companies soon,” he said in a statement today . “I will also hold discussions with the stakeholders and look at reports on integrated efforts to empower the national creative industry,” the statement said.- Bernama
