KUALA LUMPUR: Kementerian Kesihatan (KKM) menggesa pesakit supaya lebih cakna dan mengambil tahu hak-hak mereka sebagai pengguna di bawah Piagam Pesakit yang telah dikemas kini.
Menterinya, Dr. Zaliha Mustafa berkata, perkara itu perlu menjadi keutamaan bagi memastikan pesakit mendapat informasi dan kefahaman mendalam mengenai isu atau masalah kesihatan yang dihadapi selain berhak membuat pilihan sebagai pengguna.
“Tidak ada siapa boleh jangka bila kita memerlukan perkhidmatan kesihatan dan perubatan. Jadi, adalah penting untuk setiap daripada kita melengkapkan diri dengan pengetahuan mengenai hak sebagai pesakit. Beliau berkata demikian ketika hadir ke Majlis Memeterai Memorandum Persefahaman Piagam Pesakit di Bangunan Persatuan Perubatan Malaysia , di sini hari ini.
Selain itu menurut Zaliha, kementerian juga menyokong pelaksanaan Piagam Pesakit yang telah dikemas kini itu yang disifatkan sesuai dengan perkembangan dan keperluan semasa rakyat.
