Negara mula melaksanakan PKP pada 18 Mac dalam usaha memutuskan rantaian jangkitan Covid-19. Inisiatif itu yang kini memasuki fasa ke-4 dijadual berakhir pada 12 Mei ini.
Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah berkata, jika orang ramai terus mematuhi prosedur operasi standard ditetapkan, negara akan berjaya mengurangkan angka kes baru Covid-19. Noor Hisham berkata, pelaksanaan perintah kawalan pergerakan fasa 1,2 dan 3 telah berjaya menurunkan angka kes baru Covid-19.
