KOTA KINABALU: Sabah STAR president Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan says he was expressing local sentiments when he labelled Peninsula-based parties as colonisers."We need to resolve it. It's very simple, 'rumah kita, kita jaga' . That's all," he said.
Sabah PKR's state leadership council secretary Sazalye Donol suggested Kitingan leave the unity government coalition if he cannot work with member parties.Kitingan said Sabah cannot care for itself if it cannot express its thoughts. "We want to be independent and want it implemented, but they do not want to do it because they want to control us, they want to exploit us. It is as simple as that," he said.
