The opening ceremony will begin with the arrival of His Majesty at the Parliament Square where he will then inspect a guard-of-honour mounted by officers and men from the Royal Malay Regiment Battalion from Sungai Besi Camp. Debates on the bills and other government matters will take place over the final six days of the meeting starting from Feb 26.Among the key agenda items in this Dewan Rakyat sitting is the tabling for the second reading of several bills, including the Mufti Bill 2024, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Bill 2024, the Malaysian Media Council Bill 2024, and the BERNAMA Bill 2024.
