King rejected taking salary since start of Covid-19 pandemic, says Anwar

PUTRAJAYA: The King had rejected taking a salary even before me, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"In truth, the King rejected taking a salary since the Covid-19 pandemic and it was done much earlier than me.

He said that this was a contribution made by the King in light of the economic hardship faced by the rakyat. Anwar had previously clarified that he would not be taking any salary as Finance Minister as there was only one salary given to a minister.
