King Gurtiza delivered in the clutch anew as Emilio Aguinaldo College escaped Arellano, 79-76, in the NCAA Season 99 men's basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City on Friday, Oct. 13.
Troy Valencia tried to carry the fight for the Chiefs, but the Generals held their ground to claim their fourth consecutive win against two lossess. JP Maguliano and Ralph Robin led the way and unloaded 20 and 16 points, respectively, while Gurtiza lorded it over late and chipped in 14 points for EAC.
