“Kind of a Drag,' an exhibition of the work of Antonio Lopez and Juan Ramos, is up at Cooney’s Manhattan gallery.

The exhibition features both illustrations and photographs in order to show the full range of Antonio, and present these artists in a new, less familiar light. “Even though Antonio is obviously quite famous, a lot of this work [the nude drawings, personal studies, or polaroids of queer nightlife] is being seen on a gallery wall for the first time,” Cooney says. “You wonder if that’s because they were gay, or because they were people of color.
