IPOH: Barisan Nasional’s victory in the Kimanis by-election is a signal for Pakatan Harapan to strengthen their relationship among component parties, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

The Perak Mentri Besar, who is also Perak Bersatu chairman, said there are various issues which caused the people of Kimanis to take such a stand.

“However Pakatan should look at the positive side of the outcome by ensuring issues which need improvements, and for them to work on it. “For instance, issues close to the heart of the bumiputra, especially in Kimanis must be taken seriously, ” he told reporters after attending an education sustainability programme held at SK Sungai Rokam here.

BN's Datuk Mohamad Alamin won the Kimanis parliamentary seat with a majority of 2,029 votes, securing 12,706 votes against Parti Warisan Sabah’s Datuk Karim Bujang’s 10,677.“Instead we must work on issues that will gain support for the current ruling government, ” he added.
