Get creative at home during the movement control order period and send in your entries for the Ilham Kids Art Competition. Photo: Ilham Galleryin Kuala Lumpur will have a special Ilham Kids Exhibition later this year, where 30 original artworks by children between ages four and 12 will be featured.by April 28, or the end of the movement control order period, to stand a chance to be part of this exhibition.
Are you a young aspiring artist? Well, time to pick up those colour pencils or paint brushes and get creative in the Ilham Kids Art Competition. The theme of the competition is “Homebody” and the artwork size must be A3 or smaller. It could be a painting, drawing, collage, photograph or any mixed media works that are 2D and do not exceed the A3 size limit.There are two categories: The competition is open to children ages four to seven, and eight to 12.
Participants will have to upload a photo of their original artwork and also provide an “artist statement” on the online form, which basically means they get to provide a description of their artwork and share their thoughts on what the theme means to them.Ilham Gallery, which opened in 2015, is a public art institution committed to supporting the development, understanding and enjoyment of Malaysian modern and contemporary art within a South-East Asian and global context.
