Kes babit individu autisme perlu patuhi SOP, kata KPN

Fuzi Harun berkata, sebuah jawatankuasa turut ditubuhkan dan 2 pusat autisme akan ditubuhkan di Pulapol serta Maktab Polis Cheras.

Fuzi Harun berkata, langkah merangka SOP dan penubuhan jawatankuasa itu diambil selepas pihaknya menerima pelbagai reaksi ketika mengendalikan kes melibatkan seorang remaja autisme di Selangor tahun lalu.

KUALA LUMPUR: Polis kini mempunyai prosedur operasi standard bagi mengendalikan kes melibatkan individu autisme, kata Mohamad Fuzi Harun. Ketua polis negara berkata, inisiatif itu diambil selepas pihaknya menerima pelbagai reaksi ketika mengendalikan kes melibatkan seorang remaja autisme di Selangor tahun lalu.

“Untuk mengatasi masalah sedemikian dan tidak berulang, saya telah arahkan satu jawatankuasa ditubuhkan…kes-kes libatkan kanak-kanak autisme di masa akan datang, SOP mesti dipatuhi. “Pusat autisme juga akan ditubuhkan di Pulapol ini…satu lagi pusat akan kami bangunkan di Maktab PDRM Cheras,” katanya selepas Perbarisan Peringatan Hari Polis Ke-212 di Pusat Latihan Polis Kuala Lumpur semalam.Terdahulu, sebuah buku Garis Panduan Autisme turut dilancarkan pada majlis itu oleh Menteri Dalam Negeri, Muhyiddin Yassin.
