Kenya’s chief of defence forces General Francis Ogolla and nine soldiers died on Thursday, 18 April in a helicopter crash in Elgeyo Marakwet County, situated in Kenya’s restive Rift Valley region. As the dust settles in the country after a week of mourning, Ogolla’s death has reawakened the memories of the announcement of the presidential result in August 2022.
