NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 18 - The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) now says 1,700 officers will monitor this year's national examinations.

It stated that the officials will be drawn from the Education Ministry, TSC, and Kenya National Commission for UNESCO , Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development , Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa and Kenya Education Management Institute . Additionally, Kenya Private Schools Association , Special Schools Heads Association of Kenya , Jomo Kenyatta Foundation , Kenya Literature Bureau , The National Treasury, School Equipment Production Unit , Kenya Women Teachers' Association and Correctional Services will also be on board.
