Kentucky took control of the game with a 13-2 run just less than four minutes into second half, but Wofford pulled within two points at 58-56 on a Keve Aluma layup with 37.9 seconds left. Playing again without leading scorer PJ Washington, Travis recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. ► About that trash talk: Kentucky may have won the game, but Wofford can take heart in holding its own in the paint battle despite UK sophomore forward Nick Richards declaring before the game Kentucky’s post players were “just better” than Wofford’s big men. Travis led the way for Kentucky despite battling cramps in the second half, but the Terriers held close in points in the paint and actually outscored Kentucky in second-chance points . Kentucky recorded a 35-30 advantage in rebounds.
