Tiga birdie itu menyelamatkan Kelly yang menduduki ranking ke-189 dunia dan sedang memburu kemenangan pertama di LPGA, selepas melakukan dua bogey pada pusingan pertama yang sangat sukar di Aronimink di Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
Pencapaian terbaik Kelly pada LPGA adalah berkongsi penamat keempat pada Marathon Classic 2014 dan selepas itu gagal meraih kedudukan 10 terbaik sehinggalah Ogos lalu apabila dia berkongsi penamat kesembilan di Marathon. "Aksi cemerlang hari ini memberikan saya lebih keyakinan untuk mengharungi pusingan seterusnya," katanya.
