The country music songwriter, who was married to the “American Idol” alum since 2011, was found dead in their shared home nearly three months ago.
Metropolitan Nashville Police spokesperson Don Aaron previously told The Post that Jacob died from a self-inflicted gunshot.
Per the Medical Examiner’s report, the late country music songwriter did not have any drugs in his system at the time of death. However, it was noted that he had a history of “pseudoseizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated enzymes and chronic alcohol use.”Jacob was found dead in the couple’s joint home.Jacob’s manner of death was not listed in Taste of Country’s report but it was likely ruled a suicide.
