The Agricultural Marketing Board (FAMA) anticipates sufficient coconut supplies in Kelantan ahead of the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration. FAMA Director Wan Faizatul Aniza Ismayatim stated that the organization has implemented intervention measures to secure coconut supplies for distributors and entrepreneurs. Recognizing the current shortage, FAMA established an operational center near the Tunjong Rural Transformation Center to identify wholesalers and operators requiring coconut supplies at retail prices ranging from RM2.80 to RM3 per kilogram. To address the limited local production, FAMA has sourced supplies from external providers in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture. The organization also collects data from each district regarding coconut requirements to ensure a balanced supply.

“Kita tahu sekarang ini memang ada kekurangan dari segi bekalan kelapa. Jadi apa yang kita telah buat di pusat operasi FAMA dekat Pusat Transformasi Luar Bandar Tunjong adalah mengenal pasti mana-mana pemborong dan pengusaha yang memerlukan bekalan kelapa dengan harga jualan antara RM2.80 hingga RM3 sekilogram.
