State Secretary Datuk Nazran Muhammad confirmed that the palace revoked Abdul Azeez’s datukship on April 2.“We requested for the award to be immediately returned,” he said. In the letter dated April 2, Abdul Aziz is barred from using the Datuk title, and the entitlements associated with it. Azeez was conferred the Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia award, which carries the title “Datuk” in 2016.Azeez, 52, still retains the datukship titles awarded by the Rulers of Kedah and Pahang.
