PETALING JAYA: Operators of food and beverage premises in Kelantan will be required to obtain Malaysian halal certification before they can renew their business licences, says a state exco member.
Mohd Asri said 453 such certificates have been issued to businesses in the state from January until now. The businesses comprised hotels, restaurants, eateries and pharmacies, he added. “It is not just about the type of food and beverages, but the requirement covers the kitchen and use of halal materials or products as well,” he added.
