As autumn arrives and temperatures drop, energy bills tend to rise. However, there are simple changes you can make around your home to keep it warm without breaking the bank. From utilizing curtains effectively to optimizing radiator placement, these tips can help you delay turning on your heating and reduce your energy consumption.

Another room you might not want to heat up is the kitchen. While you don’t want to be cold in there, consider that your kitchen will naturally warm up while you cook. This is also something that happens with laundry. While many of us drape damp washing over the radiators or place airers near the fire, this isn’t always the best option.
