ALOR SETAR, March 12 — Sultan of Kedah, Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, has called on the federal government to support and give consideration to the development of the Kulim International Airport project for the benefit of the country, and Kedah in particular.
“Based on the studies, the development of KXP will be an economic game changer to Kedah and will complement the existing airports in the north of the country through the provision of more comprehensive cargo services, supported by the development of a Maintenance, Repair and Operation hub.” Sultan Sallehuddin also emphasised on the importance of harmonious relations between the state government and the federal government so that the focus on resolving people’s issues and problems is not affected.
The Ruler also called on the state government to examine and review outdated fiscal policies and laws.
