Hamid berkata pertukaran Mohd Kamarudin Md Din ke Bukit Aman “bertepatan pada masanya” kerana beliau mempunyai “kepakaran dalam jenayah siber” yang ketika ini mula menjadi ancaman. Mengenai pertukaran ketua penolong pengarah E8 Cawangan Khas itu, Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay ke Johor menggantikan Kamarudin, Hamid berkata ia untuk memberikan pengalaman kepada beliau.
Hamid juga menambah pertukaran pegawai kanan akan dilakukan susulan persaraan seorang ketua atau pengarah.
