The “Kean effect” might not be helping NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet ahead of the state election with polling data showing the NSW Treasurer facing negative approval ratings in Liberal seats, Sky News Chief Anchor Kieran Gilbert says.
Mr Gilbert said Mr Kean has tried to “sure up the vote” in the teal seats by going hard on renewables.
“It looks like it might have blown up for the government if you look at his net negative approval rating, or disapproval rating, in places like Leppington, Goulbourn and even Hornsby,” he said. New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet will go head-to-head with Opposition Leader Chris Minns on Wednesday at the Sky News / The Daily Telegraph People’s Forum in the final debate of the 2023 state election campaign.
