KABUL: Sekurang-kurangnya lima maut apabila orang ramai berpusu-pusu memenuhi lapangan terbang Kabul untuk melarikan diri selepas Taliban menguasai negara ini. Kematian itu dikaitkan dengan tindakan orang ramai cuba memanjat aerobridge yang digunakan untuk memasuki pesawat sebelum mereka terjatuh dan menghempap orang di bawah.
Sebelum itu, pasukan tentera AS dilaporkan terpaksa melepaskan tembakan ke udara di lapangan terbang Kabul selepas keadaan mula tidak terkawal apabila orang ramai berasak-asak mahu menaiki pesawat meninggalkan negara ini.Tentera AS kini mengawal dan menguasai lapangan terbang Kabul bagi memastikan semua proses pemindahan berjalan lancar. Sementara itu, sejumlah penduduk Afghanistan yang sebelum ini melarikan diri ke Pakistan sudah mula masuk semula ke negara ini selepas Taliban memberi jaminan akan membentuk kerajaan yang lebih baik. – AGENSI
