kluang Satu sindiket perjudian atas talian ditumpaskan berikutan penahanan 15 lelaki serta dua wanita warga China dalam serbuan di dua rumah di Taman Delima, Kluang, 7.30 malam tadi.
Ketua Polis Daerah Kluang, Asisten Komisioner Mohd Abduh Ismail berkata, turut ditahan seorang lelaki tempatan berusia 30-an dipercayai menjadi dalang utama pengendalian dua rumah dijadikan sebagai pusat panggilan perjudian itu.
“Melalui serbuan itu, polis merampas peralatan dipercayai digunakan untuk menjalankan operasi ‘calling centre’ dalam urusan perjudian atas talian. Mohd Abduh berkata, sindiket terbabit dipercayai membuat transaksi urus niaga RM200,000 sehari atau secara keseluruhannya kira-kira RM 6juta sebulan sepanjang tempoh beroperasi.
“Siasatan mendapati tiga tangkapan menggunakan pas lawatan sosial manakala 14 lagi tiada memiliki pasport.
