The Member Representing Faskari Constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Samaila Bawa, has urged the People to be alive to their civic rights and responsibilities by complementing the efforts of Governor Umar Dikko Radda towards guaranteeing the safety and security of citizens in the State.
Samaila Bawa, in a statement he personally issued on Tuesday, gave the charge in Tafoki Ward when he interacted with the people during a condolence visit to the community. The lawmaker pointed out that Governor Radd’s recent recruitment and inauguration of the Katsina State Community Watch Corp was a rapid response to prevailing Security Challenges debilitating the development and progress of the state.
He explained that citizens are expected to offer support and understanding to the officers and personnel of the Corp to enable prompt response to security challenges. He explained, 'We must keep our eyes open, we must monitor strangers to our communities and we should be critical to spreading rumours as well we should be providing useful information to constituted authority.
