A Senior Special Adviser to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, Abdulrahman Muhammad Sulaiman, popularly known as Mai-Kadama, has not only resigned from his position but dumped the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC, after meeting the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin.
Sulaiman, Governor Yusuf ’s Senior Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship, abruptly announced his defection on Thursday, after a meeting with Barau Jibrin in his office in Abuja. Mai-Kadama held several positions before his switch, including leading the Kwankwasiyya movement in Plateau State; similarly, he was also head of the G-6 faction in Kano State. In a Facebook post, Jibrin said Mai-Kadama joined APC to advance good governance and accelerate development.
“With the change of party, he announced that he is now Mai Kadama Maliya. The grassroots politician also announced his resignation as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kano State on Entrepreneurship II.
