Kaizer Chiefs have been chasing overseas-based midfielder Thabo Cele for three years but the Soweto giants might finally get their man.
Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly interested in signing Bafana Bafana midfielder Thabo Cele from Russian side Fakel Voronezh.are looking to boost their squad for the new season and having a player of Cele’s calibre might inject some life in the team. The Soweto giants recently released midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe.“They have been following him for almost three years now and the team’s scouts have been monitoring him and now he is back on Chiefs’ radar.
Kaizer Chiefs are in need of a quality midfielder for the upcoming season. Mduduzi Mdantsane is out for several months after getting involved in a car accident. The club said the midfielder required surgery ruling him out for at least three months. Kaizer Chiefs are also eyeing another Bafana bafana midfielder Oswin Appollis. The 22-year-old has impressed for Polokwane City, scoring seven goal in total last season. Under Nasreddine Nabi, Amakhosi might just attract high profile players to the club.
