Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring several red-hot, exciting talents with management considering signing all of these men.
Amakhosi management have identified two priority areas that need reinforcing – the goalkeeper and striker departments. Furthermore, they have their eyes on the future with long-term replacements for Itumeleng Khune, S’fiso Hlanti and Keagan Dolly having been identified.
Lanky goalkeeper Nkosi has been earmarked to take over from Khune in the future. That is how much potential Amakhosi management believes he has. “Lanky 20-year-old Lungile Nkosi is the man Chiefs are believed to be looking at, to fill Khune’s gloves in the future,”Furthermore, the technical team have widened their search across Africa to the DRC where they are keeping a close eye on a talented and yet to be named goalkeeper from Motema Pembe. He was personally recommended by former Amakhosi goalkeeper Eshele Botende.Meanwhile, Stellenbosch defender Basadien is likely to join Amakhosi at the end of the season.
Another attacker, Matthews has been in Amakhosi’s books for a while. In addition, the club is still interested and they are monitoring him as we speak. It will depend on if the new coach wants him at the club or not.Moreover, Namibian and Chippa United striker Kambindu is one of the latest players being assessed by Amakhosi’s technical team. Management intends to ease the pressure off of Ashley Du Preez with Jasond Gonzales and Christian Saile Basomboli both struggling for form.
