The severity of the injury has yet to be revealed, however, at the time it prevented Arthur Zwane from doing his post-match media briefing after he was escorted off the field by club officials and the police.
JOHANNESBURG - Kaizer Chiefs fans showed their ugly side on Saturday as head coach Arthur Zwane was hit in the face by an object thrown by a mob of disgruntled supporters in the aftermath of their 1-0 loss to Supersport United at the Royal Bafokenng Sports Palace on Saturday.
“Unfortunately, he [Zwane] picked up a bit of an injury to his eye. I don’t know how, or what happened. I just saw him now putting some ice on his eye, so I’ll find out the details when I get back to the changeroom,” explained assistant coach Dillon Sheppard.
