Polokwane City’s head coach, Phuti Mohafe, has declared that the club will not part ways with any players during the current transfer window. This decision directly affects several high-profile transfer targets, including Thabang Matuludi and Oswin Appollis, who have attracted significant interest from top clubs.Thabang Matuludi and Oswin Appollis have emerged as two of the most sought-after players in the league following standout debut seasons with Polokwane City.
Despite the intense interest, Polokwane City has chosen to retain their star players. Mohafe explained. “We kept every player that was there last season, we didn’t release, Matuludi and Oswin are still there,” as quoted by“The offers… I heard they were coming, but we fended them off because we want to be on a progressive mode from last season. We want to improve as a team and we want growth as a team.
Mokwana will undergo a medical examination before officially completing his transfer. This move aligns with Esperance’s plans to strengthen their squad for the upcoming CAF Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup. Notably, Esperance has also signed Youcef Belaïli from MC Alger for a reported R10 million and Ayman Ben Mohamed from EA Guingamp.
