A one-year-old black Labrador Retriever named Noble has joined the Royal Malaysia Police's K9 Unit as an electronic storage detection (ESD) specialist. Trained to detect microscopic chemical traces left by electronic devices, Noble assists in uncovering hidden evidence that traditional searches might miss.

Noble, a black Labrador Retriever , is the Royal Malaysia Police's electronic storage detection (ESD) specialist in the K9 Unit . This one-year-old dog uses his keen sense of smell to uncover hidden electronic devices that would be missed by traditional searches. Noble was gifted to the PDRM by OUR Rescue, a US-based group that empowers enforcement agencies to combat human trafficking and child sexual exploitation.

Two human officers, Inspector Alagu Mani Murugiah and Sergeant Jeeva Kumar Ponan Palam, underwent specialized training in the US to work with Noble. Noble trains daily with his handlers, Jeeva Kumar and Sergeant Roland Unus, to maintain top performance. His training includes searching luggage, vehicles, containers, and even underwater for electronic storage devices. Noble has already proven his worth in several high-profile cases, including a Perak murder case, a missing person case in Sentul, and a child exploitation case.
