President Bola Tinubu has sacked Bolaji Owasanoye as the chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
Consequently, the President has appointed a former Attorney-General of Jigawa State, Musa Adamu Aliyu, as the new chairman of the anti-graft agency.
He said, “in exercise of powers conferred on the President as established in Section 3 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.
He said the position of Secretary to the Commission does not require Senate confirmation and, therefore, by the directive of the President, the appointment of Oparaodu as Secretary of the Commission takes immediate effect.
