The Lagos state government has initiated a large-scale demolition operation, targeting illegal structures along the Blue Line/BRT corridor on the Lagos-Badagry expressway.The operation is being conducted under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner of Police Bayo Suleiman, head of a special squad dedicated to the clean-up initiative.
Politics Nigeria gathered that the clean-up operation is extending its reach and progressing toward Alaba Rago and its surroundings. Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on New Media, emphasized the commitment of the State Government to this extensive clean-up effort. He said the government has undertaken various public sensitization and awareness campaigns, including radio jingles and stakeholder engagements, to prepare the public for this development.
