, the National Weather Service said that Mendenhall Lake crested at nearly 15 feet at 11:15 p.m. on Saturday. By 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, the lake was down to about 12 feet — still nearly two feet above moderate flood stage.On Saturday night, Juneau’s emergency operations center recommended that people who live on Marion Drive evacuate.
Drone footage shared on social media showed one building that had collapsed into the river and others that appeared to have been undercut by the eroding bank.
