Councilmember Jennifer Mendoza asked for extension but judge noted there have been no incidents for 90 days
A Superior Court judge has removed a restraining order against Lemon Grove City Councilmember Liana LeBaron, who had been restricted from interacting with a colleague outside of public meetings since February., Superior Court Judge Peter A. Lynch dismissed the request for a civil harassment restraining order and removed the temporary order that had been in place. The restraining order was filed by Lemon Grove City Councilmember Jennifer Mendoza on Feb.
Under oath on Monday, LeBaron agreed to Lynch’s terms that she would not “call, strike, harass or contact in the future unless lawfully related” to Lemon Grove City Council business. In lifting the temporary order, Lynch said that if Mendoza once again felt threatened, she should file a new restraining order request.
