The Sabah Road Transport Department (JPJ) is carrying out a special operation in conjunction with Aidilfitri from 1 April to 20 April. The operation aims to ensure the safety of public transportation users and to ensure that bus operators comply with all regulations.
Kota Kinabalu: Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Negeri Sabah melaksanakan operasi khas sempena Aidilfitri dari 1 April sehingga 20 April ini.
“Pemeriksaan ini akan dibuat sebelum bas keluar dari terminal dan dilakukan secara keseluruhan antaranya cermin, brek, lampu, permit bas serta lesen memandu. “Begitu juga pemeriksaan buku log, dan keperluan menyediakan dua pemandu, jika syarat-syarat tersebut tidak dipenuhi bas terbabit dilarang keluar daripada terminal,” katanya kepada media semasa Kempen Keselamatan Jalan Raya dan Pemeriksaan Bas Sempena Perayaan Hari Raya Aidilfitri Tahun 2024 di Terminal Bas Bandaraya Inanam, pada Ahad.
Beliau juga memaklumkan JPJ menyediakan 15 pegawai yang akan bertugas sebagai penyamar dan menaiki bas secara rawak mengikut jadual.
